compassion.

Having compassion is essential for several reasons:

Personal Benefits

Reduces stress and anxiety: Compassion can calm the mind and body.

Increases happiness: Showing kindness and concern for others can release endorphins, also known as “feel-good” hormones.

Improves relationships: Compassion helps build stronger, more meaningful connections with others.

Social Benefits

Fosters empathy and understanding: Compassion encourages us to see things from another person’s perspective.

Promotes kindness and generosity: When we’re compassionate, we’re more likely to help those in need.

Creates a more supportive community: Compassion can bring people together and strengthen social bonds.

Moral and Ethical Benefits

Recognizes shared humanity: Compassion acknowledges that we all experience suffering and difficulties.

Encourages self-reflection and personal growth: Practicing compassion can help us develop a greater sense of self-awareness and empathy.

Fosters a sense of responsibility: Compassion motivates us to take action and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Spiritual Benefits

Cultivates mindfulness and presence: Compassion encourages us to be fully present and engaged with others.

Deepens spiritual connections: Practicing compassion can help us feel more connected to a higher power or the universe.

Promotes inner peace and harmony: Compassion can bring a sense of calm and balance to our lives.

Overall, compassion is essential for building stronger, more meaningful relationships, fostering a sense of community, and promoting personal growth and well-being. This explains why we do what we do at Ceapu. Will you consider joining us in this mission today

Give to God HE WILL GIVE BACK TO YOU.

Give to God, and He will give you also!

God is not a “Taker” but a “Giver.” Whatever we give to God, He will give it back to us “a good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38).   When we give faithfully to him in our tithes and offerings, He promises to open the windows of Heaven upon our lives and pour out so much blessing that we won’t even have room to contain it (Malachi 3:10). Try it, it works because God is not a man that He should lie. If God were to lie for a moment, He would cease to be God because He would have no basis for righteousness.

There is something very extraordinary about giving generously to God. He looks down with great favor on generous givers. Scripture makes it clear that when we give generously to God, He will give generously back to us because God loves generous givers.

Generous giving comes out of a grateful heart, and that is what touches the heart of God. David recognized that God had been extremely gracious to him. God had elevated him from an unnoticed shepherd to the position of a king. He was now living in a cedar palace. Out of gratitude, he felt the need to build a house for the ark of God, which was being housed in a tent at the time. This decision was born out of pure gratitude to God. God was deeply touched.

So what came out of this generous desire? Several blessings:

First: God promised to make David like the names of the greatest men on all the earth. The fulfillment is borne out by the fact that thousands of years after the death of David, people are still being named after him! We constantly talk about how David defeated Goliath.

Second: God promised to subdue all his enemies before him. What a blessing!

Third: The LORD promised to build the house of David. This was more than a physical dwelling place. This referred to the legacy and prosperity of David! The truth is, “Except the LORD builds a house, and the laborers will be building in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)  Do you want God to build your house? Then build His house first. Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and He will add all other things to you. (Matthew 6:33)  He will build not just your physical home but your relationships, marriage, career, business, and even your reputation long after you are gone from the earth.

Fourth: God promised that His love would never depart from David’s house. Do you want a generational blessing of God’s love to follow your children? Then invest in building the house of God. Does this get you interested and get your attention? Well, try it. Build God’s house and God will surprise you with incredible favor. God will watch over His word to perform it in your life!

Father, we thank you for the opportunity to advance your kingdom’s agenda. Please help us put you first in all we do. Amen.

SPONSOR A CHILD/CEAPU

african boy seeking sponsorWhen you sponsor a child through Christian Efforts against Poverty Uganda, you are helping give an orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable child a family and a future. Children who have lost everything get a mother, brothers and sisters and everything they need to have a normal childhood. There are many in this category that are waiting for you.

As a child sponsor, your monthly gift of $39 goes to helping raise your sponsored child. That means you are providing food, clothing, parental care, housing, education and healthcare to a child in need.

CEAPU project provides love, care and support to 50 orphaned abandoned and vulnerable children in Kisoro district Uganda.

We believe that no child should grow up alone.

We hope you do too.

SPONSOR A CHILD IN UGANDA

SPONSOR A CHILD IN UGANDA.

For just $39 a month, you can provide a child in poverty with school fees and uniforms they need to go to school. What’s more, you can send them to a Bible based church each week. This unique combination gives children the opportunity to escape poverty and bring change to their families and communities for a life time. Choose to sponsor a child to day.

Our project commits to find the poorest children in their communities and register them into our programme, regardless of their faith or background because we are non-denominational. We then link each child with a sponsor who begins to make a difference in the life of the child through their letters, prayers and donations.

Your sponsored child will be given the care and resources they need to develop in every area of their lives – their mind, body and relationships, your donation will be used for

  • Fees, and uniforms to go to school
  • Nutritious food
  • Health check-ups
  • Personal attention and guidance from loving staff members
  • An age-appropriate Bible and biblical teaching
  • Literacy and life skills training
  • Encouragement from your letters

We share God’s love with the children we care for, but we don’t require any child to become a follower of Jesus be a part of our programme and receive the benefits. We are committed to working with the poorest of the poor so we help children from all backgrounds regardless of their religion.

CEAPUGANDA program is life changing and you don’t just have to take our word for it! According to us each child under our project should be able to study and finish school. They should also be able to enter salaried employment.

As soon as CEAPUGANDA has registered a child in need into our programme, we start looking for a sponsor to support them. Visit us at www.ceapu/the children and choose a child for yourself. Then you can send us a mail to let us know the child you have decided to sponsor.

THERE IS POTENTIAL IN A CHILD

sponsored children getting giftsOnce upon a mountain top, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up. The first tree looked up at the stars and said,” I want to hold treasure I want to be covered with Gold and filled with precious stones .I will be the most beautiful treasure in the whole world! “The second little tree looked out at a small stream trickling by on its way to the ocean. I want to be travelling mighty waters and carrying powerful kings. I will be the strongest ship in the world.”

The third tree looked down into the valley below where busy men and women worked in a busy town and said “I don’t want to leave this mountain top at all. I want to grow so tall that when people stop to look at me, they will raise their eyes to the heaven and think of God. I will be the tallest tree in the world. “Years passed, rains came, the sun shone and the tree little trees grew tall.one day the wood cutters climbed the mountain. The first woodcutter looked at the first tree and said,” This tree is beatful.it is perfect for me, “With a swoop of his shining ax, the first tree fell.” Now I will be made into a beautiful chest. I shall hold wonderful treasure! “The first tree said

The second woodcutter looked at the second tree and said, “This tree is strong, it is perfect for Me.” with a swoop of his shinning ax, the second tree fell. “Now I shall sail mighty waters! “Thought the second tree. “I shall be a strong ship for mighty kings! “The third tree felt her heart sink when the third and last wood cutter looked her way. She stood straight and tall pointed bravely to heaven but the woodcutter toppled it and said any kind of tree will worker for me. He muttered. With a swoop of his shining ax the third tree fell.

The first tree rejoiced when the woodcutter brought her to the carpenters shop. But he fashioned it into a feed box for animals. The once beautiful tree was not covered with gold nor with treasure .She was covered in saw dust and filled with hay for hungry far m animals .The second tree smiled when the woodcutter took her into the shipyard, but no mighty sailing ship was made that day. Instead the once strong tree was hammered and sewed into a simple fishing boat. She was too small and too weak to sail an ocean, or even a river; instead he was taken to a small lake. The third tree was confused when the wood cutter cut her into strong beams and left her into the lumberyard. “What happened? “All I wanted was to stay on the mountain top and point to God.”

Many days and nights passed. The three trees nearly forgot their dreams. But one night, golden starlight poured over the first tree as a young woman placed her newborn baby in the feed box. “I wish I could make a cradle for him, “her husband whispered. The mother squeezed his hand and smiled as the starlight shone on the smooth sturdy wood. “The manger is beautiful, “she said. And suddenly the first tree knew she was holding the greatest treasure in the world.

One evening a tired traveler and his friends crowded into the old fishing boat. The traveler fell asleep as the second tree sailed out into the lake. Soon a thundering and thrashing storm arose. The little tree shuddered. She knew she did not have the strength to carry so many passengers safely through with the wind and the rain. The tired man awakened. He stood up, stretched out his hands and said,” Peace, be still”. The storm stopped as quickly as it had begun. And suddenly the second tree knew she was carrying the king of heaven and earth. Early one morning a couple of years later, the third tree was startled when her beam was yanked from the forgotten wood pile. She flinched as she was carried through an angry jeering crowd. She shuddered when soldiers nailed a man’s hands to her. She felt ugly and hash and cruel. But three days later with the sun shining and the earth trembling beneath her, the third tree knew that Gods love had changed everything .It had made the third tree strong and every time people thought of the third tree, they would think of God which was better than being the tallest tree in the world!

God has blessed us to bless others

IMG_5131Dear friends receive christian greetings from Christian Efforts Against Poverty Uganda in Jesus name.We thank the Lord so much for how far He has brought us and we are sure that God will continue taking care of us, our beneficiaries and more especially also our sponsors in every step that we shall make in modelling our children into the kind of people God wants then to be in future.

God has been faithful, is faithful and will forever be. We are very glad to have such a program that is helping those in need, I am aware we cannot be able to take in everyone but I am sure transforming these will help alot. Iam also happy to let you know that we are enjoying our partnership with you. As our mission is restoring hope for the needy by giving them the basic needs of life. We have for sure done the best that we can afford

Education wise, we have 23 children who are registered CEAPU beneficiaries. Of these, 12 are sponsored. This means that the remaining 11 children are still seeking sponsors. The good news is that since our focus is mainly on evangelizing with these children and taking them to school, they have all been put into school using the funds from the donors that we so far have. And they are progressing well.

The data above shows us that we have a total of 23 children

Of the 23, 12 have gotten sponsors. We thank God for that.

Of the 23, 8 are males and 15 are females.

Spiritually, every time we have the children meet, we always have them memorize a verse, sing some christian songs, teach them new songs, and tell them every thing is because of the love of God.We are teaching them and discipling them to ensure that when they grow to the confession age, they should be able to confess Christ as their Lord and savior. Also we hope that every child who reaches a time when he/she is able to read the Bible, we shall be able to make available to them with Bibles. We, so far, have three.

Physically, we teach our children health, have them do exercises, play games in groups, teach them sanitation and its importance in their homes, and above all we try as much as possible to provide medical treatment to our children.

Socially, we teach these children the importance of having friends. Those of them who have sponsors are already aware that their sponsors are their friends and some of them also have friends among themselves. This means that when they grow up, they will be able to live with others in a healthy manner.

Achievements

IMG_5159All the 23 beneficiaries have had their school fees paid since the time of their registration and we hope to continue paying for them because of the commitment our donors have in supporting our ministry.

One of the parents who had left his home and gone to Kampala for a long time because he was unable to provide for the family… when he heard that a sponsor had come on board to support his family, he came back home. We Praise the Lord for that.

Two of our beneficiaries, Faith and Devota, were sick but received treatment and now they are well and attending school.

All of the children have always received basic needs and scholastic materials as need arises. Thumbs up to our donors.

Thanks

We first of all want to thank God so much for enabling this project to come up. We also thank Yleana Newton and Dan for sponsoring Munyantwari Alex who pioneered this program.

We also want to thank our sponsors so much because if it was not for them this program would still just be an idea. Now we see its implementation.

We thank our friends and those of you who have always prayed for us.

We thank our staff for their commitment to serve both God and these children.

We also thank the Government of Uganda for accrediting CEAPU and allowing us to operate legally in the country.

Three of our beneficiaries Devota, Racheal, and Joan received Christmas gifts last year. They bought clothes and food for their families and they all were very happy.

Prayer requests

IMG_5194Pray that we all shall be encouraged in the Lord to carry on this ministry to the young children.

Pray also for the children without sponsors where as we may pay their fees, give them some basic needs. It still lowers their self-esteem to be in the program without being sponsored.

Pray that there shall be security in the country so that we carry out our operations in a secure environment.

Pray for us also for God to open a way so that we shall have offices that are permanent where people can feel secure to visit us.

Pray for one of our missionary families who are here in Uganda to work with us, that God will provide for them their needs of life and also good health.

Pray for one of our sponsors who will also be visiting the family she is supporting this year.

Pray that God blesses our sponsors with enough resources, money and good health so that they are able to keep supporting their children.

Finally pray for all these young children that they will come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.

You may not have time to pray for all these but at least have time to pray for one of these, that their desired future will bring glory to God.

We love and pray for you.

SPONSOR A CHILD IN UGANDA/CEAPU

About Uganda

Ugandan families and communities struggle to access healthcare, education and other basic services and young children often lack in the four areas of development. The country’s health indicators are among the lowest in sub-Saharan African. Preventable diseases – including prenatal and maternal illnesses, malaria and diarrhea claim many lives of young children before age 10. In south western Uganda-Kisoro poverty, the lack of protection for children, little food or no food at all is a common problem .The situation is as alarming in such a way that some families eat in shifts. A member who eats lunch is not liable for super. This is due to many children in the families. As a result most children leave school to fend for their survival working as house girls and shepherds for the richer families to get food. It should be noted that a parent earns an average of just $1 a day by digging for others and doing any other casual worker

Our Work

CEAPU Children’s ministry continues to focus education, health, food and economic security activities and how these initiatives can be more closely integrated to restore hope for a better future. But our overall goal is to show these children and their carte takers the love of God so that at the end of it all they will come to the knowledge of salvation and confess Christ as their personal Lord and savior.

Sponsor A Child

Since May 2015, Ceapu Children’s ministry in Uganda has worked with local church and mothers union of Willow Field Parish Church-Ireland UK to design Sponsorship programs for children. Our target is to help children to grow up in a way that they will be able to transform their societies, our programs work to make a healthy and safe environment where children can learn and grow well in all aspects of life spiritually, physically, economically and socially. Our programs designed for primary school going children are in a way that builds their esteem needs and informs them that their past does not determine their future. We also provide health care, and education to all our beneficiaries both children and their care takers. Thanks to all our project sponsors for the work they are doing to restore hope for the needy children in Uganda the almighty God will always bless the work of their hands.

SPONSOR A CHILD IN UGANDA- CEAPU

RACHEALYou can completely transform the life of a child who is in need through our sponsorship program with Christian Efforts Against Poverty Uganda. Sponsors often tell us that their sponsored child gives them so much more than they ever could imagine in the way of love and gratitude”God bless you” a phrase that misses not in a child’s letter to his /her sponsor and indeed many of our sponsors have been blessed. Sponsorships change lives on both continents.

The children in our program have either been rejected, orphaned by the loss of one or both parents, usually to AIDS, or come  from the most vulnerable backgrounds where there is no one to show them the love of God by supplying their basic needs of life. You can help fill this gap and restore their  hope for the future future or you could tell your friend about us.Together we can restore hope for the future in the life of a Ugandan child
