SPONSOR A CHILD/CEAPU
When you sponsor a child through Christian Efforts against Poverty Uganda, you are helping give an orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable child a family and a future. Children who have lost everything get a mother, brothers and sisters and everything they need to have a normal childhood. There are many in this category that are waiting for you.
As a child sponsor, your monthly gift of $39 goes to helping raise your sponsored child. That means you are providing food, clothing, parental care, housing, education and healthcare to a child in need.
CEAPU project provides love, care and support to 50 orphaned abandoned and vulnerable children in Kisoro district Uganda.
We believe that no child should grow up alone.
We hope you do too.
SPONSOR A CHILD IN UGANDA
SPONSOR A CHILD IN UGANDA.
For just $39 a month, you can provide a child in poverty with school fees and uniforms they need to go to school. What’s more, you can send them to a Bible based church each week. This unique combination gives children the opportunity to escape poverty and bring change to their families and communities for a life time. Choose to sponsor a child to day.
Our project commits to find the poorest children in their communities and register them into our programme, regardless of their faith or background because we are non-denominational. We then link each child with a sponsor who begins to make a difference in the life of the child through their letters, prayers and donations.
Your sponsored child will be given the care and resources they need to develop in every area of their lives – their mind, body and relationships, your donation will be used for
- Fees, and uniforms to go to school
- Nutritious food
- Health check-ups
- Personal attention and guidance from loving staff members
- An age-appropriate Bible and biblical teaching
- Literacy and life skills training
- Encouragement from your letters
We share God’s love with the children we care for, but we don’t require any child to become a follower of Jesus be a part of our programme and receive the benefits. We are committed to working with the poorest of the poor so we help children from all backgrounds regardless of their religion.
CEAPUGANDA program is life changing and you don’t just have to take our word for it! According to us each child under our project should be able to study and finish school. They should also be able to enter salaried employment.
As soon as CEAPUGANDA has registered a child in need into our programme, we start looking for a sponsor to support them. Visit us at www.ceapu/the children and choose a child for yourself. Then you can send us a mail to let us know the child you have decided to sponsor.
Sponsor a child-CEAPUGANDA
SPONSOR A CHILD -CEAPUGANDA.
Every child deserves a strong start in order to end well (the best chance for a successful future). But too many children right here in the Uganda. And around the world are not getting the opportunity to reach their full potential. You can help change that. If you sponsor a child just one, then you will give them the gift of a better future.
When you sponsor a child, you get a special kind of giving that creates a relationship between you and the community where CEAPUGANDA operates to help to change the future of the children under our care. Sponsorship provides essential help and education to improve the well-being of children. It gives you the opportunity to witness young lives transformed for a better future. When you sponsor a child, two lives are changed: a child’s and yours! Your support helps in the following ways.
Early Childhood Care and Development prepares a child for a bright future by building a strong foundation for success in school. Unfortunately, about 30% of the world’s children fail to reach their developmental potential. And in Uganda fewer than 1 in 5 children have access to early childhood education. This explains why CEAPUganda is here
Basic Education is a right of all children. It’s estimated that 200 million children all over the world will quit elementary school without the basic reading and math skills they will need to thrive. By providing children with a basic education and a quality learning experience now, they will have the tools needed to succeed later in life. This cannot be possible minus your support.
Health and Nutrition helps ensure that students aren’t too sick or hungry to learn. Worldwide, children lose 500 million school days each year due to illness caused by unsafe water and inadequate sanitation. School Health and Nutrition programs ensure access to proper sanitation and hand washing facilities and teach children the importance of good hygiene. When children regularly wash their hands, diarrhea – one of the most common deadly illnesses for young children in Uganda– is cut by one third. When healthy children can go to school – they can learn more and have greater opportunity to reach their full potential. Your support on this is very much appreciated.
Adolescent Development addresses the needs of teens so they can participate in their own success and the success of their community. Adolescent development programs help them build self-esteem and reduce vulnerability to exploitation, violence, substance abuse, child marriage and much more. Through these programs, teenagers learn life-skills, how to earn and save money and so much more.
Innovation sponsors across all programs. Sponsorship nurtures great ideas helping program staff develop interventions that best meet children’s needs. For example, Literacy Boost started as a program specific to child sponsorship.
Together we can restore hope for more children.
THERE IS POTENTIAL IN A CHILD
Once upon a mountain top, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up. The first tree looked up at the stars and said,” I want to hold treasure I want to be covered with Gold and filled with precious stones .I will be the most beautiful treasure in the whole world! “The second little tree looked out at a small stream trickling by on its way to the ocean. I want to be travelling mighty waters and carrying powerful kings. I will be the strongest ship in the world.”
The third tree looked down into the valley below where busy men and women worked in a busy town and said “I don’t want to leave this mountain top at all. I want to grow so tall that when people stop to look at me, they will raise their eyes to the heaven and think of God. I will be the tallest tree in the world. “Years passed, rains came, the sun shone and the tree little trees grew tall.one day the wood cutters climbed the mountain. The first woodcutter looked at the first tree and said,” This tree is beatful.it is perfect for me, “With a swoop of his shining ax, the first tree fell.” Now I will be made into a beautiful chest. I shall hold wonderful treasure! “The first tree said
The second woodcutter looked at the second tree and said, “This tree is strong, it is perfect for Me.” with a swoop of his shinning ax, the second tree fell. “Now I shall sail mighty waters! “Thought the second tree. “I shall be a strong ship for mighty kings! “The third tree felt her heart sink when the third and last wood cutter looked her way. She stood straight and tall pointed bravely to heaven but the woodcutter toppled it and said any kind of tree will worker for me. He muttered. With a swoop of his shining ax the third tree fell.
The first tree rejoiced when the woodcutter brought her to the carpenters shop. But he fashioned it into a feed box for animals. The once beautiful tree was not covered with gold nor with treasure .She was covered in saw dust and filled with hay for hungry far m animals .The second tree smiled when the woodcutter took her into the shipyard, but no mighty sailing ship was made that day. Instead the once strong tree was hammered and sewed into a simple fishing boat. She was too small and too weak to sail an ocean, or even a river; instead he was taken to a small lake. The third tree was confused when the wood cutter cut her into strong beams and left her into the lumberyard. “What happened? “All I wanted was to stay on the mountain top and point to God.”
Many days and nights passed. The three trees nearly forgot their dreams. But one night, golden starlight poured over the first tree as a young woman placed her newborn baby in the feed box. “I wish I could make a cradle for him, “her husband whispered. The mother squeezed his hand and smiled as the starlight shone on the smooth sturdy wood. “The manger is beautiful, “she said. And suddenly the first tree knew she was holding the greatest treasure in the world.
One evening a tired traveler and his friends crowded into the old fishing boat. The traveler fell asleep as the second tree sailed out into the lake. Soon a thundering and thrashing storm arose. The little tree shuddered. She knew she did not have the strength to carry so many passengers safely through with the wind and the rain. The tired man awakened. He stood up, stretched out his hands and said,” Peace, be still”. The storm stopped as quickly as it had begun. And suddenly the second tree knew she was carrying the king of heaven and earth. Early one morning a couple of years later, the third tree was startled when her beam was yanked from the forgotten wood pile. She flinched as she was carried through an angry jeering crowd. She shuddered when soldiers nailed a man’s hands to her. She felt ugly and hash and cruel. But three days later with the sun shining and the earth trembling beneath her, the third tree knew that Gods love had changed everything .It had made the third tree strong and every time people thought of the third tree, they would think of God which was better than being the tallest tree in the world!

CHILDREN RECEIVE CHICKENS
So you ask, what are these people doing. We have your answer.its not doing it but God is using us to do it but we can still tell you what is being done.We want to praise God for the mighty work He has continued to do by bringing those who have and those who are in need together. On 4th/7/2016 we had the opportunity to host our dear friends Rachael and Leah for sacrificing their time to come to Uganda to see the work we are doing at Christian Efforts Against Poverty Uganda.
They met the children and gave out chickens to the children. They gave us project Tennessee balls and also went a head to provide tooth brushes to children so that they can stop brushing using sticks.Every one was so exited to receive them. The children sung welcome songs did perform skits and the day was wonderful. We later had the opportunity to visit five families. We prayed with them, Mandi shared with the families the word of God and they were very happy.
So what next,Are you prepared to join the line of the people that want to help these children.there are many more in the community that are waiting for you all you need is to just let us know about your plans to work with us.If you can not support at least you can spare time and pray for our ministry.
We thank every one who has contributed to the growth of our project by contributing financially and through your prayers. We love you God bless you.
GLORY BE TO GOD
Glory glory glory!be to God the most high. Thank God for this is how far you have brought us. When we started it was not easy at all but God has been so faithful to us in this ministry. We have had children come to our center, we have taught them and eaten with them. And for the whole holiday period, only one child fell sick and God healed him after seeking for his medical attention. We praise God for the work He is using our supporters to do. Children now come to the center in their uniforms. They are all in school and are very very happy. Friends we are aware that transforming one life is transforming a community.
Educational and spiritual development through discipleship are our major focus. We will do whatever is within our means to ensure that these children continue to grow in the knowledge of the Lord and provide them with sound education because they are the future of the nation. They are now back to school. We were Glad to celebrate the success of one of our children who was the first in class. She has promised us that her future will be bright and she said she does not want to disappoint the sponsor who is paying her school fees. “I am reading very hard because I never knew I will be in school when I lost my father to HIV/Aids” Keep praying for many of our children that are not yet sponsored that they will never lose hope. You could even decide to sponsor one.
We thank God for all the achievements that we have had. It was all through your support and please be encouraged to support and pray for our ministry to the children. Your reward is with the Lord Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give your lives fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” Yes the word refreshes and encourages us to to what we do. If you would want to support the door is wide open.
God has blessed us to bless others
Dear friends receive christian greetings from Christian Efforts Against Poverty Uganda in Jesus name.We thank the Lord so much for how far He has brought us and we are sure that God will continue taking care of us, our beneficiaries and more especially also our sponsors in every step that we shall make in modelling our children into the kind of people God wants then to be in future.
God has been faithful, is faithful and will forever be. We are very glad to have such a program that is helping those in need, I am aware we cannot be able to take in everyone but I am sure transforming these will help alot. Iam also happy to let you know that we are enjoying our partnership with you. As our mission is restoring hope for the needy by giving them the basic needs of life. We have for sure done the best that we can afford
Education wise, we have 23 children who are registered CEAPU beneficiaries. Of these, 12 are sponsored. This means that the remaining 11 children are still seeking sponsors. The good news is that since our focus is mainly on evangelizing with these children and taking them to school, they have all been put into school using the funds from the donors that we so far have. And they are progressing well.
The data above shows us that we have a total of 23 children
Of the 23, 12 have gotten sponsors. We thank God for that.
Of the 23, 8 are males and 15 are females.
Spiritually, every time we have the children meet, we always have them memorize a verse, sing some christian songs, teach them new songs, and tell them every thing is because of the love of God.We are teaching them and discipling them to ensure that when they grow to the confession age, they should be able to confess Christ as their Lord and savior. Also we hope that every child who reaches a time when he/she is able to read the Bible, we shall be able to make available to them with Bibles. We, so far, have three.
Physically, we teach our children health, have them do exercises, play games in groups, teach them sanitation and its importance in their homes, and above all we try as much as possible to provide medical treatment to our children.
Socially, we teach these children the importance of having friends. Those of them who have sponsors are already aware that their sponsors are their friends and some of them also have friends among themselves. This means that when they grow up, they will be able to live with others in a healthy manner.
Achievements
All the 23 beneficiaries have had their school fees paid since the time of their registration and we hope to continue paying for them because of the commitment our donors have in supporting our ministry.
One of the parents who had left his home and gone to Kampala for a long time because he was unable to provide for the family… when he heard that a sponsor had come on board to support his family, he came back home. We Praise the Lord for that.
Two of our beneficiaries, Faith and Devota, were sick but received treatment and now they are well and attending school.
All of the children have always received basic needs and scholastic materials as need arises. Thumbs up to our donors.
Thanks
We first of all want to thank God so much for enabling this project to come up. We also thank Yleana Newton and Dan for sponsoring Munyantwari Alex who pioneered this program.
We also want to thank our sponsors so much because if it was not for them this program would still just be an idea. Now we see its implementation.
We thank our friends and those of you who have always prayed for us.
We thank our staff for their commitment to serve both God and these children.
We also thank the Government of Uganda for accrediting CEAPU and allowing us to operate legally in the country.
Three of our beneficiaries Devota, Racheal, and Joan received Christmas gifts last year. They bought clothes and food for their families and they all were very happy.
Prayer requests
Pray that we all shall be encouraged in the Lord to carry on this ministry to the young children.
Pray also for the children without sponsors where as we may pay their fees, give them some basic needs. It still lowers their self-esteem to be in the program without being sponsored.
Pray that there shall be security in the country so that we carry out our operations in a secure environment.
Pray for us also for God to open a way so that we shall have offices that are permanent where people can feel secure to visit us.
Pray for one of our missionary families who are here in Uganda to work with us, that God will provide for them their needs of life and also good health.
Pray for one of our sponsors who will also be visiting the family she is supporting this year.
Pray that God blesses our sponsors with enough resources, money and good health so that they are able to keep supporting their children.
Finally pray for all these young children that they will come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.
You may not have time to pray for all these but at least have time to pray for one of these, that their desired future will bring glory to God.
We love and pray for you.
What a joy
To day,it has been yet another blessing for me to get to see almost all our sponsored children what a joy on their faces, what a welcoming smile.i Got so exited to hug each of them and they were so happy.Whatever word of appreciation, all credit goes back to you our supporters.
May the almighty God bless you mightily for the work you are doing with us. I hope to work on developing a template that we shall use as time goes on so that your loved children can begin writing to you and drawing pictures for you as soon as we get a scanner, then i will be emailing you the letters please keep praying for the children that are not yet sponsored as we support them all.God bless you.
